Two Cases of Sparganosis

Abstract
|
|
|
Two cases of sparganosis is reported.
45 year old male officer had a bean sized, migrating soft nodular lesion in the subcataneous tissue of the left thigh and generalized itching sensation for 6 years duration. From the lesion one sparganum (22 cm in length) was obtained.
35 year old sister had a bean sized subcutaneous ´nodular mass on left lower leg _for 10 years duration and removed one sparganum (5 cm in length) by surgical excision. The worms were pale milky white and ribbon like in shape.
